Bedgerebong, NSW

Located beside a small church, this very small cemetery is fairly well maintained. I must admit that going to this cemetery for the first time still gives me the shudders, but not for the reason you may think.

Located next to the cemetery is a large open field that was showing the beginnings of a crop. I could hear distant gunshots, but this is not all that uncommon in the country. It was not until I had been at the cemetery about 15 minutes that I realised that Kangaroo’s about 50 to 100 meters from me were eating the crops, but a couple of them had strangely decided to fall over rather dead. Then I realised that the distant gunshots were aimed at the kangaroo’s not all that far away from me, but from the time taken for the sound of the gunshot to reach me after the Kangaroo had fallen, I would estimate that the shooter was not all that close! I decided to simply leave rather than risk becoming another target for the excellent marksman, wherever he was.

GPS Location (for Bedgerebong): S 33º 21.576, E 147º 42.060. The Cemetery is easily found from this point.
